Jennifer Lopez Brings Out Ja Rule & Pays Tribute To Selena At Bronx Concert: Watch
Jennifer Lopez brought out Ja Rule and paid tribute to Selena Quintanilla-Perez during her June 4 homecoming concert (“The Bronx!”) at Pelham Bay Park’s Orchard Beach. She may be prepping for next week’s release of A.K.A., but during that concert, she was more than aware that fans rode the 6 to see her live – the same subway line referenced in her 1999 debut, On the 6.
Lopez actually brought out several guests during the show: Fat Joe performed the Terror Squad‘s “Lean Back,” while French Montana assisted with A.K.A.‘s “I Luh Ya Papi.” But it was Ja Rule who inspired the loudest cheers, as he strolled on stage to perform his verses from Murder Inc‘s “Ain’t It Funny” and “I’m Real” remixes. The crowd chimed in whenever they could, seen when Lopez sang Selena’s “No Me Queda Más,” off her 1994 and fifth album Amor Prohibido.

New Concert Release in the works?
Abraham Quintanilla, father of slain Tejano star Selena, is optimistic about a pending deal with Universal Music Group to release a DVD of a never-seen Selena concert from 1993. Hours of footage, tied up because of legal battles, have been digitized, with audio mixed in surround sound. “It’s the most personal concert footage ever of Selena,” said Quintanilla about the concert at Corpus Christi Coliseum. “It’s more intimate.”
Adrienne Bailon Channels Selena (VIDEO)
Paula Garces had a baby shower to remember! Adrienne Bailon surprised guests at the Devious Maids stars’ baby shower by channeling the late Selena Quintanilla. Before her performance, Adrienne addressed the crowd to introduce the song. She explained that Paula called her up and told her that her daughter, Skye, loves the song ‘Como La Flor’ by Selena, and asked if she would dedicate it to her. Adrienne then sang the song for the crowd and serenaded Skye. The performance ended with Paula and her daughter Skye embracing in a touching moment.
